a big, fat sink

lovely, yes?

i've been scouring craigslist for a bathroom sink, longing really for a vintage schoolhouse sink that would accommodate two faucets. well, that hasn't happened. but i did find this:

looks familiar right? okay, maybe not so much from above or in this crummy picture.
but really, this was a hell of a find.
vintage porcelain coated cast iron with a surprisingly modern shape. 22 inches wide, 42 inches long, and 8 inches deep with a big fat rounded lip on three sides.
someday this will be in my bathroom with his and hers wall mounted faucets.
yum.

i'm having a not so secret love affair with brass animals.

if i had $5,000, i would solve my dining room woes with this 1970s brass ibex head table with glass top.

first dibs

more realistic, but still out of my price range at $1,000, is this coffee table

unexpected animals

moody and serious, except, hello, light up deer!

this room is a bit minimalist from me, but i love that basset hound portrait on the rear wall!

sweet like lime

oh, who knew a lime bathtub could be so good?
(via design sponge)
btw, that adorable little stool - saw it with my bff for $12 on sunday - and she didn't buy it!

and for the record, this is a killer tile job. it's so hard to get the tile spaced to make black grout look this good.
