more quilts

i've been wanting one of these quilts by haptic labs for ages, preferably of my old neighborhood, jamaica plain.

in the process of looking for more images of haptic labs work i stumbled upon leah evans. holy smoke. now i want one of both.

more on leah evans here and here.

kinda love it

while it doesn't say "i'm a grown up," it is kinda awesome.
i might go without the pentagrams in my house.

very unhappy with my current "office" chair.
loving this idea. and, let's face it, blue velvet is hot.

two birds, one stone?

okay, so i'm having a big week with vessel sinks.
while i don't actually love (or even really like) these vessel sinks in and of themselves, i have this piece of furniture from ikea and it will loose it's spot in the house as soon as we put in the mantel sitting in the garage and i need a vanity for the bathroom.

a lamp with legs - so cute!

yet another hopelessly beautiful vessel sink.

living in a library

makes me want to run out and make profile paintings of my dog - so good!
(and let's be honest, i will also take the sofa and the lights.)

i was prowling the internet for *surprise* pictures of vintage bathrooms. in addition to discovering that the type of sink i want is a called a schoolhouse sink and kohler makes a reproduction for $1,664 (i will be continuing to hunt for a salvaged piece), i found this picture of some stunning hardware
from a house in seattle

although i think

vessel sinks will be hopelessly dated right around the time i try to sell my house, i love this image
the little fabric curtain around the base is so good!

i think we will likely do something like this sink but (god save me, i am not tidy enough for open storage) there will be doors on the base cabinet.
