i love this handmade bed from the home of dutch jewelry designer marijke hukema - that combination of industrial metal and aged wood - yum! (via apartment therapy)
okay, so i'm having a big week with vessel sinks. while i don't actually love (or even really like) these vessel sinks in and of themselves, i have this piece of furniture from ikea and it will loose it's spot in the house as soon as we put in the mantel sitting in the garage and i need a vanity for the bathroom.
makes me want to run out and make profile paintings of my dog - so good! (and let's be honest, i will also take the sofa and the lights.) via thirteen and south
i was prowling the internet for *surprise* pictures of vintage bathrooms. in addition to discovering that the type of sink i want is a called a schoolhouse sink and kohler makes a reproduction for $1,664 (i will be continuing to hunt for a salvaged piece), i found this picture of some stunning hardware
i think we will likely do something like this sink but (god save me, i am not tidy enough for open storage) there will be doors on the base cabinet. via vintage simple
